Derivatives Journal

About

Derivatives Journal

Derivatives Journal is an independent editorial publication covering global derivatives markets — futures, options, swaps, forwards, and structured products across crypto, indices, commodities, forex, and stocks.

Our coverage focuses on the mechanics that matter to traders, hedgers, and analysts: contract specifications, pricing dynamics, regulatory frameworks, market structure, and the practical strategies used by professionals across the major exchanges and OTC venues.

Editorial principles

We write for an international audience of active traders, portfolio managers, and finance professionals. Our analysis aims to be technically accurate, regionally aware, and free of marketing language. We do not publish investment advice or trading recommendations.

Each cluster — crypto, indices, commodities, forex, stocks — is organised around a pillar guide and a set of focused deep dives. Where contracts trade across multiple venues (CME, ICE, Eurex, LME, B3, Deribit, and others), we cover the venue choice and the practical trade-offs.

Independence

Derivatives Journal operates as an independent editorial project. We do not accept sponsored content. Articles do not promote specific brokers, exchanges, or trading platforms beyond what is necessary for accurate technical coverage.

Updates and corrections

Pillars are reviewed quarterly to reflect changes in exchange policies, leverage tiers, regulatory access, and market conventions. Deep-dive articles are revised when material events change the mechanics they describe. For corrections, see the contact page.
